Martin Žabka will manage communications for entire Heureka Group

As of March, Martin Žabka is head of the communications team for Heureka Group, taking up the newly created position of Group Head of Communications. In his new role, he will be responsible for media communications, Internet communications, social networks and corporate responsibility for a group of nine countries in Central and Eastern Europe in which Heureka Group operates.

„Heureka group is the strongest e‑commerce player in the CEE region and in the coming years it hopes to become the largest online marketplace in Europe. One of my main objectives will be to strengthen the group’s position as a European leader in online shopping,“ stated Martin Žabka, adding: „I am happy to become part of a company that has a real everyday impact on people’s lives, and as a bonus has a unique corporate culture.“


One of Žabka’s other objectives will be to strengthen Heureka as a key partner for brands and e‑shops, as a provider of data analyses and statistics about customers’ shopping behavior in all nine countries.

Martin Žabka has acquired over twenty years of professional experience in public relations, internal communications and CSR at companies such as O2, CETIN, Siemens, Sport Invest Group, Honeywell and Novartis. He added to his wealth of communications experience at the PR agency AMI Communications, a member of the Edelman global communications network. He graduated from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín and his hobbies include travelling, art films, botany and planespotting.
