What will change for me by joining the Heureka CSS program?

The only visible change is a change in the label in the Shopping Ads advertising unit. By joining our CSS program, you will see the label in your Shopping Ads advertisement changed to “From the Heureka website”.

You will continue to manage your campaigns in the same way.
We are transparent - you will have absolute control over your data.
We will not create another Google Merchant Center or advertising under your name in Google Ads.

Frequently asked questions about Heureka CSS

What is the CSS program?
The CSS -Comparison Shopping Service- program was initiated by the European Commission when Google was forced by a court decision to release part of the search results for other comparison sites. This initiative aims to increase competition in Google Shopping advertising space.
The biggest advantage of becoming part of the CSS program is that you will have a 20% discount for your Shopping Ads campaigns.
How is the 20% discount generated?
CSS Google Shopping calculates a 20% margin in its auction, as the cost of running Google Shopping. If you use CSS Google Shopping as CSS and bid with a price per click of 1 CZK, then Google will deduct this 20% and your effective bid in the auction will be 0.8 CZK. Every price comparator site can work with the amount of margin. Heureka does not work with any margin under CSS. The discount, therefore, can be up to 20%.
What changes for me by joining the program?
You will be able to manage your campaigns the same way as you have done. The visible change you will notice is the label change in Shopping Ads. By switching to our CSS program, you will notice a label changed to "From Heureka Web” in your Shopping Ads ad.
The switch to the CSS program will change few settings of the transferred Merchant Center. These settings are: CSS dashboard, Vendor ratings, and settings of unpaid records.
Will Heureka manage my campaigns for me or see directly into them?
No, Heureka does not have access to your Google Ads data or to your Google Merchant Center account. Campaign management and Google Merchant Center will remain in your hands.

Heureka does not provide optimization services for your Shopping Ads campaigns.
How long does switching to the CSS program take?
Generally, we recommend switching to the CSS program in the first half of the week. However, if you have a stronger first half of the week in terms of conversions, we can schedule the conversion for any other day. The timeline for the transfer is entirely up to you.
Is it necessary for me to advertise with the Heureka Group comparison engines to use Heureka CSS?
No, you do not have to advertise with Heureka.cz, Heureka.sk or Arukereso.hu to use our CSS Program.

How does Heureka CSS help e-shops?

After deploying the Heureka CSS demo, we really saw a decline in CPC and our display share also increased slightly. Compared to campaigns, the results in searches were even more positive. We extended the demo to several accounts and saw similar results. Another major advantage was the great support, option of improving feeds and transparent conditions.
